Reclaiming the Future: Youth, Creativity, and Renewal

Hosted by Ankara Aks

In the face of intersecting global crises, we believe in the power of youth, creativity, and collective action to shape new possibilities. Reclaiming the Future: Youth, Creativity, and Renewal is an interactive community session bringing together young creators, thinkers, and cultural agents to reimagine the future through the lens of design, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Previously, a group of young participants from diverse design disciplines came together to write a Renewal Manifesto—a declaration of values, ideas, and visions for a more inclusive, polyphonic, and regenerative future. In this new gathering, we will return to that text—not to finalise it, but to let it evolve.

Together, we will reflect on the urgencies of today, infuse it with new insights, and give it space to grow into a renewed collective vision. Participants will explore how creativity can become a tool for care, resistance, and transformation across scales—from the street corner to the planetary. Through dialogue, project-sharing, and collaborative writing, we will activate the core values of the New European Bauhaus: sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion. The outcome of the session will be an updated living manifesto—a cultural artifact shaped by many hands, intended to travel across borders, inspire new projects, and speak to those making decisions about our shared future. This is a space to connect, co-create, and imagine out loud.

For those who believe that change begins with community, and that culture can be a blueprint for renewal—this is your invitation.

16:00 – 17:10

Create in a mindful way: turn your sketch into an AI project

Hosted by IED

In this interactive online workshop, we will harness the creative synergy between traditional sketching and cutting-edge AI to craft compelling visual narratives. Beginning with authentic hand-drawn concepts, participants will embark on a journey that bridges analogue artistry with digital enhancement. You’ll need only basic materials: paper, pencil, and a digital device for AI exploration. Throughout the session, you’ll be introduced to specialised AI tools that complement your creative vision. We’ll conclude with a reflective discussion examining the emotional dimensions of this hybrid creative process and explore innovative applications for your future projects as a professional, student or lecturer.

17:15 – 18:00

Infodemic - A videogame to fight disinformation

“Infodemic” is a video game co-produced by the Peruvian MIL association “A Mí No Me La Hacen” and the video game studio “Hermanos Magía.” It allows the player to embody a journalist who reacts to events in their community. Political scandals, natural disasters, social movements… the player will seek to cover events ethically while dealing with the social, economic, time, and editorial pressures of their profession. This game was developed to spark debates on our relationship with the media in a democracy, both individually, online and in the classroom.

This event will be an opportunity to play the beta version of the game, and discuss of its educational potential.

DISCLAIMER: The game is currently in Spanish, but will be live translated.
